Lions defeated London Welsh Occies 26-8 in a physical encounter at Old Deer Park.

In a tough first twenty minutes Lions scored the opening try through winger Adam, after another impressive backs move set up by the running of Angert; and Ryan added the extras.

Welsh then came back scoring in the corner after sustained pressure and then kicking a penalty. Welsh had early dominance at scrum time, though Lions were able to counter after the scrum was reorganised, following an early injury to French Matt.

As the half drew to a close Adam added another try off a lineout from deep inside the Lions half to bring the score to fourteen eight.

In the second half Lions kept Welsh scoreless and secured the bonus point through two breakaway tries from James, with the forwards and backs combining to seal an impressive twenty six to eight win.

MOM Graeme for his crunching tackling and silky running lines though he did delay the offload.
DOD Jim who played out his match in the stands.

Next week the Lions are at home to Grasshoppers 3rds, where hopefully a forward may get on the scoresheet.
